Established in 2018 as part of Scotland’s Year of Young People, the Dumfries and Galloway Youth Awards held annually in recognition and celebration of the involvement, dedication and incredible achievements of young people across Dumfries and Galloway.
The Dumfries and Galloway Youth Awards recognises the incredible achievements and stories of young people in Dumfries and Galloway through 10 categories. The awards provide a regional platform to celebrate young people’s achievements, share their experiences and showcase their amazing talents and contribution to the local community.
As well as the main award categories, a live vote on the evening of the ceremony takes place to determine ‘Young Person of the Year’ the candidates for Young Person of the Year are made up of the winners of the previous categories (excluding Youth Worker of the Year (Paid) and Youth Worker of the Year (Volunteer)
